Ollie Mae Cottrell, a loving, caring wife, sister, mother and grandmother, aunt and friend to so many was called home early morning on Thursday, September 25, 2014.
Katherine Hickman was born in Forest Hill, La., in 1923. She grew up in a racially divided South where the Ku Klux Klan was everywhere and racially motivated violence was the norm.
Wilson C. Riles was principal of the Dunbar School during the 1940s and early 1950s. He was elected State Superintendent of Public Instruction in California.
